Quality

Quality

'My mission has always been to make original, quality jewellery. There is something special, elevating, about wearing the finest craftsmanship, knowing that your jewellery has been crafted by hand using only the finest precious metals and natural, highly graded gemstones.” Andrea Hauer, Founder & Owner

We celebrate craftsmanship and champion the process of making. We design our jewellery with longevity in mind, creating timeless pieces from high quality materials. We make each design in small quantities so we only have what we need. We only do limited editions. We believe that quality should not be defined by exclusivity, reserved to a few, but accessible to everyone.

DESIGN

Each piece is designed in-house by our owner, starting with inspirational mood boards and hand sketches. Our main inspiration are sculptural and architectural shapes. Art, travel, and different cultures constantly inspire us. We then create full colour drawings, which are turned into 3D CAD designs and the first prototypes are made. Each design goes through countless revisions in partnership with our master jewellers until the piece is exactly right.

CRAFTMANSHIP

Our expert jewellers use the highest quality precious metals and AAA-grade gemstones. We work with talented artisans, who handcraft each and every element of our jewellery pieces using traditional techniques, from hand cutting and setting gemstones to hand beading our chains.

Our quality standards are high and every design is rigorously checked throughout development. Stone quality assessments, comfort wear testing and durability checks ensure the finest quality.

OUR MATERIALS

Quality materials make a piece of jewellery shine bright and last a lifetime. For us, choosing materials that are less harmful to our planet and communities is non-negotiable. That's why we only work with precious metals, natural gemstones, and freshwater pearls that are sourced in a responsible way. We don’t use any inferior metals, such as brass or harmful metals, such as Nickel.  All our suppliers work to stringent social, ethical and environmental standards.

18ct Gold Vermeil

All of our jewellery is handcrafted in premium 18ct Gold Vermeil or Sterling Silver. Gold Vermeil is made to last and highly durable, which makes it is superior to basic gold plating.

Our Gold Vermeil jewellery has a thicker layer of min. 3 microns gold added to the base of Sterling Silver (the thickness of the gold must be a minimum of 2.5 microns to be classified as Gold Vermeil). Our Gold Vermeil jewellery is also stamped with the '925' mark to indicate the Sterling Silver purity.

The plating process is different as well. Gold Vermeil is plated with a process known as electrolysis, making the jewellery very durable. In comparison, basic gold plating is typically a thin layer of gold over a less durable metal such as copper or brass, which can tarnish easily and potentially can cause discolouration of the skin.

Sterling Silver

All our Sterling Silver jewellery is Rhodium plated, which is a member of the Platinum family. This adds bit of luxury and provides a strong and protective layer against tarnishing and ensures lustre and durability. Rhodium plating gives our silver pieces their shine and ensures they don't scratch or corrode easily. All Sterling Silver pieces are also stamped with the '925' mark, indicating the purity of the metal.

Gemstones

All of our gemstones are genuine mineral stones that are highly valued for their beauty, longevity and rarity. We use an array of high-quality gemstones. Our natural gemstones are sourced from all over the world by artisans who hand-select and hand-cut each one. All our suppliers work to stringent social, ethical and environmental standards. We are working closely with our gemstone suppliers to improve transparency and traceability within their supply chains.

Freshwater Pearls

We only use cultured pearls from oysters and freshwater mussels that we carefully select for our pieces.
